Following the publication of the Environmental Emergency Regulations, 2019 (SOR/2019-51), specifically the new companion document “ Technical Guidelines for the Environmental Emergency Regulations 2019” from Environment Canada, the CRAIM with its new Sheet # 1 clarifies the way of calculating the maximum capacity of a tank or system of tanks and clarifies the calculation method described in its Guide 2017.
This sheet (bilingual) outlines, by examples, how to correctly calculate the maximum capacity according to the 2019 EER, in order to determine whether or not an installation is subject to the EER obligations.
